Sandy is so excited to be joining the Lucky Cat Yoga family! Sandy has enjoyed doing yoga for nearly 20 yrs. Early on it was more of a physical practice to supplement her ballet training, a nice way to relax and rejuvenate after many hours in the dance studio. In 2015, after the sudden passing of her younger brother, yoga became so much more than a physical practice. Yoga was instrumental to her grieving process, healing and spiritual growth. Lucky Cat Yoga became her yoga home around that same time, Dark Waver!!, and provided what she needed to get through such a difficult time for herself and her family. Sandy fell in love with the Wheelers and soon began thinking about deepening her practice by completing their YTT program, but just kept putting it off. COVID hit and she realized life is short, stop waiting and do the things you want to do now. She signed up for their next Yoga Teacher Training 200 Hr in January 2021 and graduated that July. As a former ballet dancer, movement has always been a source of physical strength, inner strength, flexibility and body awareness. Yoga has allowed Sandy to explore a different side to movement than simply as a physical practice. Sandy believes yoga is a practice of self discovery, self awareness, allows us to deepen our connection to our earth, to each other, and connect to the understanding that we are all one. She believes yoga can help one process difficult emotions, manage anxiety and depression, and cultivate a life of wellness and well being. Sandy enjoys practicing and teaching fluid vinyasa flows with an attention to strength and alignment to help bring balance on and off the mat. Along with yoga, Sandy enjoys walks, bike rides, ballet, the beach, cooking, and spending quality time with her husband, Greg, their 2 children, 2 dogs and 1 cat

In graduate school I came to yoga for stress relief and the balance it provided through physical movement after long hours of studying. With a regular practice I quickly realized yoga is a lot more than physical postures. I began to explore yoga as a philosophy and path to inner peace and wellbeing.
I have received so many gifts from yoga, the most profound being self awareness. I am continually learning to observe and understand my mind, body and emotions in ways that allow for the creation of healthier habits and a happier life. In an effort to deepen my own knowledge and yoga practice I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in December 2018.
Yoga is for everyone. I enjoy sharing what I have learned, helping all students safely enjoy their yoga practice and guiding them to discover their inner teacher. Experiencing the value of yoga at a personal level it is my hope that through the teachings of yoga we can heal the world - one person at a time, with peace, love and an attitude of oneness.

Jenni’s yoga journey is somewhat new but in her years of practice, she has found so much peace within. Growing up with trauma, as many people do, she developed wall after wall thinking it could protect her from feeling pain. She started doing yoga just looking to get a good work out, and in that first practice she got a peak over the walls for the first time, and has been practicing ever since. In her practice she’s learned how to appreciate herself; mind, body and soul, as well as learning how to let go of negativity and pain. Yoga is a way to look inside, and bring to the surface all the beautiful magic that each and every person has inside.
Jenni took Yoga Teacher Training in 2021 to deepen her practice, and found so much joy in teaching. She would like to show people that it's never too late to try something new, and that you can always meet yourself exactly where you are, mentally and physically, on your mat.

Madisson Taylor Yoga has been a part of Madisson’s life for 20 years. His mom introduced the practice to him in high school when she received her teaching credentials and opened her own studio in Southern California. Madisson eventually found his way into a YTT program in September of 2020, graduated that December and immediately applied for a teaching apprenticeship through The Collective St Pete, where he became a regular teacher member in April 2021. “I didn’t know I was going to teach when I started my TT, but by the end of it, I really felt like a had something to share that was unique.” Madisson started Yoga Punx Saint Pete blending alternative, emo, metal, etc. music with yoga asana practice and the consensus is that the people love it! Madisson is a 200 hr RYT and is a certified Rocket teacher.
I first discovered yoga in college as just a way of exercising. However, it quickly became much more than that to me and I fell in love with the practice. A few years later I was signing up for a 200hr YTT program and completed my training at “Half Moon Yoga” in Medina, Ohio in 2015. Yoga has been such a positive influence in my life and I love to share that with others.
Elaine Churton - Bio Elaine Churton, RY200, began her lifelong yoga practice as a young mother of twins while living in Arizona in the 1970s. Her long and winding tenure of yoga practice led her to Lucky Cat teacher training in 2018; and soon after combined her professional life as a mental health therapist/administrator with her passion for teaching. She also enjoys teaching practitioners and caregivers in local community mental centers as well as individuals residing in behavioral health crisis centers and residential homes. Elaine has also studied with Rolf Gates, Yoga and Recovery; and Stephanie Keach, cofounder of the Asheville Yoga Center. She is a perennial student of yoga as well as holding the philosophy of accepting and respecting each individual exactly as he or she arrives on the mat. She enjoys the mindful connection of community created with each class; enjoying a combination of playfulness, movement, and calmness. Her favorite mantra — Be Here Now.
Briana's passion for movement began with dance and transitioned into yoga after her last season of winter guard. Receiving her 200-hour RYT in Ashtanga yoga, Briana has traveled to Mexico and India to learn and experience the many facets of what this practice offers. This moving mediation has been a keepsake to her health and mind, a tool she hopes we all will tap into with the self-study available when we arrive on our mats. As a yoga teacher, her goal is to create a safe and welcoming space for students to explore their practice, discovering greater self-awareness and more comfort in their everyday lives. Briana is also a certified life/success coach and a neurolinguistic practitioner. She looks forward to practicing with you soon!
